Privacy Policy

TL;DR: We collect only what we need to run TranSend. We don't sell your data. Files are stored temporarily and deleted automatically when they expire. You can delete your account and all your data at any time.
1. Who we are
TranSend is developed and operated by Nexora Studios. Our website is transendapp.org. You can reach us at hello@transendapp.org.
2. What we collect
Account data (if you create an account)
- Email address and display name
- Password — stored securely using industry-standard hashing. We cannot see your actual password.
- Plan type, storage usage, and transfer history
Transfer data
- Files you upload to the cloud — stored temporarily on secure cloud infrastructure
- File metadata: name, size, type, expiry settings, and transfer options you configure
- Download count and approximate downloader device name (if provided by the recipient app)
Guest usage
If you use TranSend without an account, no personally identifiable information is stored on our servers. Upload history is stored only locally on your device.
Local transfers
Local WiFi transfers are entirely device-to-device on your network. No file data or metadata passes through our servers. We have no visibility into local transfers.
Technical data
- IP addresses — used for security and abuse prevention only, not stored long-term
- Device type and app version — used for compatibility and crash reporting
3. How we use your data
- To operate and deliver the file transfer service
- To send download notifications when your recipient gets your file
- To enforce storage quotas and plan limits
- To send password reset emails when requested
- To detect and prevent abuse
- To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your personal data with third parties except as required to operate the service or comply with the law.
4. Third-party services
We use reputable third-party infrastructure providers to operate TranSend. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements and their own privacy policies. We do not share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.
5. Data retention
- Files: Automatically deleted when the transfer expires. Burn-after-download files are deleted immediately upon first download.
- Transfer records: Kept in your account history until you delete them or close your account.
- Account data: Deleted immediately when you delete your account, including all associated files and transfer records.
- Password reset tokens: Expire after 1 hour and are invalidated once used.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission, secure credential storage, authentication tokens, and rate limiting on all endpoints. Pro users can additionally enable end-to-end encryption so files are encrypted before leaving their device.
7. Your rights
- Access: Contact us at hello@transendapp.org to request a copy of your data
- Deletion: Delete your account and all data via Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Correction: Update your display name and email in Settings → Account
- Opt out: Disable product update notifications in Settings → Notifications
8. Children
TranSend is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe this has occurred, contact us at hello@transendapp.org.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of TranSend after changes constitutes acceptance.
