1. Who we are

TranSend Local is developed and operated by Nexora Studios. Website: transendapp.org.

2. How TranSend Local works

TranSend Local does not require an account. Files are sent directly between devices over the same Wi-Fi, hotspot, or local network. The app does not upload your transferred files to TranSend servers, and file contents are not stored by Nexora Studios.

• Files shared into the app through the Android share sheet may be copied temporarily into the app's cache so they can be sent.
• Text typed into the app is converted into a local .txt file before it's sent.
• Selected folders may be compressed into a temporary .zip file before sending.
• These temporary files may be cleared automatically by Android or by the app's own cleanup.

3. Data stored on your device

TranSend Local may store the following locally on your device — none of it is sent to our servers:

• Transfer history (records of past sends and receives)
• App preferences and settings
• Known devices, including device name and color
• Other local app settings

You can clear or hide your transfer history and clear known devices at any time from Settings.

4. Permissions explained

• Internet permission: used for local network communication between devices, not cloud transfer.
• Wi-Fi / network permissions: used to discover and connect to nearby devices.
• Location permission: used only where Android requires it for nearby/local Wi-Fi discovery.
• Media / audio / file permissions: requested only when you choose to send those file types.
• Notifications / foreground service: used to show transfer progress.

5. What we don't do

• No analytics are active in the local-only build.
• No payment processing — there is no payment or subscription feature in TranSend Local v1.
• No cloud account or profile sync in TranSend Local v1.
• No account is required to use the app.

We do not sell your data.

6. Links to other sites

The app may open website or legal links (such as this page) only when you tap them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external site you visit this way.

7. Data retention

• Transfer history and settings: stored on your device until you clear them or uninstall the app.
• Temporary cache files (from share sheet imports, text-to-file conversion, or folder zipping): cleared automatically by Android or app cleanup.

8. Your rights

Because TranSend Local does not require an account and does not store your transferred files on our servers, most of your data lives only on your device and is under your control there — in Settings, you can clear transfer history and known devices at any time.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable law. To report a bug, use the Report a Bug page.

9. Children

TranSend Local is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, use the Report a Bug page to let us know.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of TranSend Local after changes constitutes acceptance. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
